SERVICES
PRENATAL CARE:

Prenatals are held at our office locations twice a week.
Mondays are in Lake Cormorant for our western families and Tuesdays are in Ripley for our eastern families.
​
Prenatal Visit Schedule -
-
every 4 weeks up to 28 weeks​
-
every 2 weeks up to 36 weeks
-
weekly until 42 weeks
​
Referrals for prenatal lab work when indicated
Focus on preventative care through excellent nutrition and
developing healthy habits.
​
Home visit at 36 weeks
​
Prenatals may involve any combination of:

a nature walk,
-
mini massage,
-
nourishing tea and snacks
-
conversation
-
prayer
... before finally finishing with the clinical assessment

BIRTH CARE:
​

Optional doula support
-
Midwife support from established labor through until mama and baby are tucked in bed

Optional waterbirth

Food and drink encouraged throughout labor

Respect for the "birth pause" and for the "golden hour"

Long delayed cord clamping and cutting

Prolonged skin-to-skin

Mother/baby-led breastfeeding, early and often

Lots of uninterrupted time before commencing the newborn exam, weighing, measuring, etc.
POSTPARTUM CARE:
Postpartum visit schedule:
24 hrs
*Day 4 or 5

Postpartum care also includes:
Special attention to postpartum recovery "trouble spots" - like caring for diastasis recti, prevention of postnatal depletion, and monitoring for baby blues/postpartum depression​
​
*This visit includes a special "Mamababy" ceremony of sorts that includes yummy goodies and mock bubbly or tea, flowers, and a floral and milk herbal bath for mama and baby, followed by a light massage. And one of the best parts? Mama gets to share her birth story, ask questions, and process through it all.
